Used Cars » Used Car Buying Guide
Here at Just Click 4 Cars, we do not 'sell' used cars. We act as an introducer between prospective used car sellers and prospective used car buyers. We do not give any assurance to the accuracy of any description applied to any of the vehicles advertised for sale on this web site.
Buying Used Cars
If you express an interest in any of the used cars advertised on this site, we will pass your contact details on to the vendor of the car. It is then up to the vendor to make direct contact with you. We cannot guarantee that all enquiries will receive a response, but we do guarantee that we will pass all enquiries on to the vendor concerned. Should the vendor make contact with you, it is for both of you to negotiate satisfactory transaction terms.
As we advertise on behalf of both private and trade sellers, please also bear in mind the following points:
. Never agree to meet the vendor at a 'midway point', always insist on going to their address and check that the name and address on the V5/C Log book are the same as those given.
. If the vendor cannot produce the V5/C Log book (for whatever reason, e.g., "its lost" or "in the post from Swansea" etc), WALK AWAY. Do not buy a car without the V5/C Log book. You will not be able to tax it, MOT it or sell it to anyone else!
. Always check the chassis number, (on the plate under the bonnet or on the inside door), against the V5/C Log book to ensure that they are the same numbers.
. Always take a test drive and insist that the vendor comes with you. If at all possible, it is wise to take a friend with you as well.
. Safeguard your own interests by applying for a H.P.I. check on the car. Do not proceed with the purchase if there is any difference in the description of the car or any of the reports are not 'clear'.
